reading the digital data from the usb port using java

hi this is chandramani,
"i need to read the digital data comminng from the medichair which is embedded with multiple sensors. the stream of data coming from the usb will be sent by a micro controller based system in the chair and "need to receive the data constantly when the chair is in use and sort out the data into categories of weight, temp, bp, ecg, heart and pulse rates. " etc .programming language.need to process this data and use it in analysis according to some medical rule and generate appropriate alarms and reports and write them to a file and or communicate to network or to database and display on a monitor."
how to read stream of data from a usb port using c, c++ or java..
helpme out for to finish this project. i strucked in the middle part of my project

If you want to do this in Java, read this article - it describes a few different possibilities to access usb ports. However note, that Sun doesn't include any USB classes in Java. It may be a better idea for you to do this in C or C++, so if you want me to, I'll move this thread to the C / C++ Forum.
