Accessing remote directory???

Hi,

I know the ip address, user name and password of the remote server. Is it possible to access the remote dir/file of the remote pc just like we do to access local file/dir using JFileChooser.Any pointers or critiques would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

As long as there's no service running on the remote server that allows such access, no you can't. (At least not without cracking into that computer, which we won't help you do.) However, if there's an FTP server or SSH daemon running for example, that could allow the user very similar access as you have to your local file system, if implemented in that way.

So, what software is running on that server?

Greetings,
