Problem in calculator program using"netbeans"( java)

Why am I getting errors when I try to run the calculator progam using Netbeans5.5?
error :-" class,interface or enum expected"

Also, explain what's"enum"?

Part of the compiler's job is to verify that your program is syntactically correct. If it's not (as in your case) then it reports those error messages to you.
Best way to know what an enum is is by reading about it from Sun's tutorial

Check whether or not your curly brackets match up; I suspect you have at least
one closing curly bracket too many.
