Could not deserialize java object: java.io.StreamCorruptedException

Trying to run a standalone program I downloaded and know works (I have spoken to the developer on the team etc...).
The url where to find it is http://pyxida.sourceforge.net/
I initially downloaded the standalone version and tried to get it working on two nodes after altering the config file but I keep getting the error:
"Could not deserialize java object: java.io.StreamCorruptedException: invalid type code: 92"

I then decided to download the source code from CVS and recompile the program into a jar and try that, same issue.
I checked the java version running on both computers (nodes) and all is identical. could it be the java version used to compile the library files?

Need any help I can get!
Thanks in advance!

Well, basically the content of the stream being read by the deserializer doesn't represent
a valid object. There are many causes; the main causes are:

- the stream is outdated and the object definitions have changed; check the serialVersionUID
values for the classes that were previously serialized.

- the file was changed without your notice, i.e the file content itself is currupted.

kind regards,

Jos
