arrays method

Hi All;
tell me please if my steps in solving this problem is right or wrong and if there any mistakes please explain to me ^_^
Write a method that takes an integer N and returns an array of integers of length N. The elements of the array are a randomly generated odd numbers. The signature of the method is as follows
static int[] generateOddRandomArr(int N)

i solve it as follow:
public static int[] generateOddRandomArr(int N){
int W=N;
for(int i=N;i<arr.length;i++){
arr[i]=N.get(i);
if (int[i]%2!=0)W=N;
}
return W;

}

Well, the method is supposed to create and return an int array so I'd expected
something like this in the method body:

Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. int[] arr= new int[N];
  2.
It should be filled with odd (pseuod) random numbers so I also expected a Random
class somewhere in there. I didn't expect a variable W in there that doesn't do
anything and I most certainly didn't expect those funny int[i]%2 thingies in there
that don't make sense, but I'm sure the compiler told you that already.

kind regards,

Jos
