finding future data

hi all

i am having some values in my database

those belongs to years and commodityquantity

at present i need to forecst the quantity for next 10 years

for this what i need to do.

give me some help

Hi, I removed your other thread because it's a duplicate of this one. Forecasting
is slippery business if you don't know at least a bit about the probability distribution
of your present data. You can order your data timewise and simply use one of the
available predictors, or simply use a Lagrange polynomial to find a value in the (near)
future. If the probability distribution behaves kind of 'calm' you might consider a moving
average function, optionally using weights on the sample data. An exponential function
does quite nice here.
