Hi,
Not sure if anyone can help with this or whether i'm posting in the correct section but here goes:
I run my own server (windows 2003) and write most of my sites in ASP. I have thr friendly 500:100 error for the visitor but any error is also emailed to myself with specifics so that i can debug any genuine errors.
I get lost of emails with [string etc and user>0 etc, and when i get these i bar the IP address as this is also sent. Only recently i am starting to get errors telling me that there was an error with the mail for (cdosys) and that neither a sender or from field where found. The form has validation and captcha so the visitor must be hitting the page directly.
The only thing they all have in common is the browser type (Java/1.4.2_10).
Maybe they aren't hacking but if not what is happening, Any ideas would be appreciated.
Here is a copy of one of the error emails:
Error on "website" page = "url address"
Error Type:
CDO.Message.1 (0x8004020D)
At least one of the From or Sender fields is required, and neither was found.
/cdo/mail.asp, line 41
Browser Type:
Java/1.4.2_10
Users IP Address: 82.127.25.204 (Host: 82.127.25.204, User: )
Page:
GET /cdo/mail.asp
Time:
28 October 2007, 04:14:27
Thanks in advance,
Jason
