Image Processing In J2me

hello.
i m a final year B.E. Comupter Engineering mumbai university sutdent .
i am doing my final year project on "PROCESSING BAR CODES MOBILE PHONES"....
Since the project is to be developed on mobile phones, i will be using J2ME for coding...can u please help me from where to start from...or any suggestion or any ideas that u guys can give me will be appreciated.

Well, start by downloading the JME jdk from Sun and select your correct
configuration/profile/whatever Sun calls it nowadays (i.e. cdc or cldc and additional
classes etc.)
