CALULATION of a library fine

i NEED To write some code to calculate an a fine if a book is overdue at a library but don't know where to start, can any body help? I need to do it in java and using BlueJ.

First try to find the difference (measured in days) between two dates.
Given that difference, calculate the fine to be paid. You didn't give us a formula
for it, so we can't help you with it at all.
