I installed tomcat 5.0 but when i run it it altogether stops by itself and server fails to start up.what should i do? kindly do send me repy by mail.my id is

There are several reasons why the server may fail to start up.

Hi

1. jdk may not be found by the Tomcat.

2. Open control panel, systems, Advance , Environment Variables, Then set
Following setting , Change Them as per your Directory Installations.

TOMCAT_HOME ---> D:\Tomcat 5.0\lib;
JAVA_HOME --- >C:\j2sdk1.4.2_02;
CLASSPATH ----->C:\j2sdk1.4.2_02\bin;
CATALINA_HOME ---> D:\Tomcat 5.0
