Basic constructor, method, instance fields

So I'm supposed to write a java app for a school project.. and i'm having a hard time understanding what exactly the method, constructor, and instance fields do. I'm supposed to create a java app to manage employees and keep track of their first and last names, employee number, pay rate etc...

My question is... what exactly is a constructor, a method and an instance field? When and where do I use each thing, and how do I use it?

As you are doing this for school, I would recommend going to your instructor (or a tutor) with these questions and spending a lot of time with them. Those are basic concepts that will be best conveyed to you through that one-on-one interaction.

Hi,
These are the basic fundamentals of java programming. You should Learn the Java Through a Begaineers Level book. and you can not develop project by knowing these basics. Projects will require much more knowlege from your current level.
