I have a class in the server side code......i create objects from that class and put that objects in a hash map and send it over the network to the client side code......If i have to do serialization for this, what are the steps that i should do....both in the server and client side
You have to take care that all objects are serializable. It's an easy thing to do:
just implement the Serializable marker interface (it's empty so there's nothing
to implement actually). Wrap an ObjectOutputStream around your OutputStream
on the sender's side, wrap an ObjectInputStream around the InputStream on
your receiver's side and start writing/reading objects; that's all.
