Timer Problem

hi
i would like to use a swing timer in my code to count down the time .
that time wil be taken from the database.
actually there is a frame which contains some buttons and questions will appear in that frame according to the buttons pressed. so timer should start when a start button is pressed and the count down should start from that moment and when the time completes it should close that frame.
can you please help me in this..
thanks

Have you read the API documentation for the javax.swing.Timer class?
It shows you exactly what you have to do:
Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. new Timer(delay, taskPerformer).start();
Your 'taskPerformer' is a simple ActionListener that disposes your frame when
the 'delay' has finished.

kind regards,

Jos
