Custom file searching in java

if i write in DOS -----> dir m* then all files and directories under the current directory starts with m ll be listed..

is there any facility in java to get such a result ..........???????

Read my reply to one of your other threads and use a simple FileFilter for one
of the File.listFiles() methods.
