Look up HashMap and/or TreeMap in the java API. nHave a play around with them and see how they work, get a good feel for how a map works....

Once you understand how you can use the Map, it becomes simpler to create your own (similar class).

Like DeMan said, look at the HashMap in the Java API, then you might have to read an annotations tutorial.
