Accessing Information In an Array List

I'll try to explain this the best I can.

I have a class called book which creates books that each hold information such as author, title, ISBN code, etc.

Then I have another class called booklist which stores the books in an array list.

In the booklist class I am trying to write a method which will determine whether or not any of the books have a certain ISBN code. I am having trouble figuring out how to start with an array list and get information out held in a specific object in the array list.

I don't really have much, but this is what I have for the contains method.

public boolean contains (String isbn)
{
for(int i=0; i < list.size(); i++)
{
list.get(i);

}
}

In the book class I do have a method getISBN which I am sure I will have to use in this method, but I can't figure out how to implement it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
