Calling a windows service methods from java

Hi...
I have a Windows service wriiten in VC++ and is running. I need to call a method exposed by this service from a java application.

Can someone direct me how to go about it?

could you use the Runtime.exec() method, e.g.
Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. Runtime systemShell = Runtime.getRuntime();
  2. Process shellOutput = systemShell.exec("ls | grep .c");
  3. int exitVal = shellOutput.waitFor();
  4.
