reverse method in JDK6.0

I want to know if there is a built-in method in the java class library and ready for use .If there how can i use it to reverse a string and print it
I saw i the JDK6.0 Docs this method

java.lang
Class StringBuffer
java.lang.Object
java.lang.StringBuffer

public StringBuffer reverse()
Causes this character sequence to be replaced by the reverse of the sequence

How can I use this method?!

reverse() reverses the order of the characters in the StringBuffer, so it will do what you're looking for.

Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. StringBuffer str = new StringBuffer("This is a string");
  2. System.out.println(str);
  3. str.reverse();
  4. System.out.println(str);
  5.
This would print:
Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. This is a string
  2. gnirts a si sihT
  3.

Consider using the more efficient StringBuilder instead.

String reverse = new StringBuffer("original").reverse().toString();
