java applet variables: extraction in to php

hi there,

well its been 3 days and still i cant find the solution to a problem i have, im on the last bot of a long project and cant seem to get this working. basically i have a signature applet which received a signature from a customer, once signed it should be inserted in to a database where later on i have a php script to write the x ad y co ordinates which are in the database. what i can not seem to do is pass the varible generated bu the applet either to a form to atleast pass it server side so the php script i have can insert it to a database.

here my code

[CODEl
<html>
<body>
<h1>Signature Capture</h1>
<hr>

<applet name='mysig' code='SigBlock.class' width=301 height=76>
<param name=text value="Signature">
<param name=font value="Arial">
<param name=fontsize value=42>
<param name=fontstyle value="italic">
<param name=fontx value=10>
<param name=fonty value=50>
<param name=appwidth value=200>
<param name=appheight value=75>
<param name=linestyle value=2>
</applet>

<input type='button' name='sign' value='Sign' onClick='text.value=mysig.sign();'>
<textarea name='text' cols='65' rows='20' wrap></textarea>

</body>
</html>

Basically at the minute when the signed button is clicked it pops the values in to a text box this is done with out using a form. does any one know how i can either get applet to send it to the server or even get the variable which in this case is called text to be relayed across to a form so i can then maybe submit using a hidden form value of something.

in essence all i need to do is get the variable to the server for my php script to read the varible which is the co ordinates so i can re create the signature after its been submitted to the data base.

im at my wits end as i dont know java at all, and yes i know java is client side and php is server....

can any one help?

[/code]
