Opening a url can be done using Runtime.exec

Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. String browserPath = "C:/Program Files/Internet  Explorer/IEXPLORE.EXE"; //Use your browser path
  2.                 String url = "www.sun.com";
  3.                 try {
  4.          String[] b = {browserPath, url};
  5.                      Runtime.getRuntime().exec(b);
  6.                 }
  7.                 catch (Exception exc) {
  8.     exc.printStackTrace();
  9.                 }
