read the .doc file with checking

Hi,

The below code is used to read the document file. But at output it will give the special characters and ascii values. So i want only the readable characters (ie a-z and 0-9) how is possible pls give the solution.

Example code:

As has already been suggeted before, you'd make life easier for yourself if you use a ready made package for that. Google POI, download their package (It's free) and they also give you tutorials on how to use that package.
