Eclipse vs. Netbeans

Hi

I do some programming for myself. I am not an IT professional and don't
want to be one. Which IDE is better for java, Eclipse of Netbeans. Is SWT
worth using or learning?

I'm a newbie too, and found out that newbeans took a little tweaking to
get it to work, but works pretty good. It's best to have all of your
Java Main classes in the root of your mounted file system.

Oh, and thanks for posting a fake email addy so that seniors here can
make fun of me if Imma wrong. :S

Eclipse uses SWT but doesn't require you to use it. It's the best one for
the money! Look through the tutorials included to see the load of stuff it
does!

Good Luck!

both are good
in my opinion, netbeans was easiest to get started in because of the GUI
builder
but
most pros pick eclipse
both are free -
you can't lose anything by trying both -
except a little time on the learning curve
