Offline JSP

Hi,

I have a strange question...

For a new project I am starting, I need to create a HTML templating
system. The template consists of a HTML page with embedded Java code
for dynamic content.

I would like to use something like JSP to allow HTML and Java code to
be combined into a class that can be executed to generate the final
page.

Now, this is entirely offline and will not be executing in the context
of a web server, so stock JSP is out of the question.

Are there any projects out there that decouple the Java code creation
from the "web" side (i.e. Servlets) of JSP?

Cheers,

RatBoy

Take a look at the Element Construction Set from Apache Jakarta.
