Java webapp to do instant messaging

P: n/a
Hi all,

I'm new to the list. I'm wondering if anyone knows of a way to do the
following. I want to set up a "portal" website from which I can connect to
ICQ/MSN etc. I can't use an applet since it's blocked by the firewall. I.e,
it needs to be pretty standard HTML with the work done on the web/app
server.

I don't think I can get a dynamic page like I would with a normal IM client
(actually seeing the other users messages real time) but I think I could
get close.

Can anyone recommend any such front ends to MSN and/or ICQ? For the
experience, I'd like to try and implement this with some of the
newest/neatest stuff in j2ee.

Thanks in advance.
