Java problems

What is happening is that I have installed 2 Java IDE's
both of which install a copy of the SDK with the Install.
This seems to have stuffed up the something (be it JRE or SDK)
now when I try to run some Java apps (Sun one studio 4 Community Ed,
jGrasp, and Poseidon for UML, I also used to use (Removed now)Borland
JBuilder 6 Personal, it just gives me the BSD, this is on an armada M700
laptop with 128MB 500MHz P III).
Had a look at some of the Java stuff in registry and looks (to my nearly
trained eye) a bit of a mess (And this is after uninstalling the Sun
one and replacing it with Eclipse 2.1.3, Eclipse still works BTW)

any help appreciated!
Regards
Murray S.

see http://mindprod.com/jgloss/jdk.html at the bottom recovering from
a failed install. Also see http://mindprod.com/jgloss/registry.html
for what your registry is supposed to look like.
