WORKFLOW

I don't speek verry well english but please help me :
i explain the situation :
i'm student and in my trainer-job i have to make a solution with
workfow
we have microsoft exchage 5.5 as sever mail
i find workflow designer for exchange 2000 server(it's tools and we
can do with a workflow application) but the boss needn't to pay monney
and he sad that he need an open source solution
we have lot of process to do with workflow
Problem : i don't find anything
and if you can help to find something please do it
