Java on FreeBSD

Hello list
I use Gentoo (linux) but is considering shifting to FreeBSD.
Is Java 1.5 fully supported under FreeBSD (netbeans, eclipse etc)?

My apologies if I seem a bit nosy, but I am interested. May I ask what is motivating your shift from Gentoo to FreeBSD?
