silent installation of jvm

P: n/a
i am trying to install jdk1.4.0 using silent installation. i am
performing the following steps:
1) First i am writing to a .iss file using the command:
j2sdk-1_4_0-win.exe -a -r -f1"C:\setup.iss"

2) then i am going thru the installation by entering the destination
path and the installation is getting successfully finished.

3)i uninstalled the jdk.

4)i tried to install it now using silent installation command:
start /w j2sdk-1_4_0-win.exe -s -a -s -f1"C:\setup.iss"
-f2"C:\setup.log"

5) it is getting installed properly.

the problem is
suppose jdk is already installed and i am trying to install it again
using silent installation, it is not telling the user that the jdk is
already installed. how to go about
