Problem using the MIDP/CLDC reference implemtations

I have downloaded and installed the MIDP and CLDC reference
implementations from java.sun.com but I can't seem to get them to work
properly on Windows.

When I start one of the example MIDlets in the MIDP dir from the command
line, it starts up and displays a list of midlets. However, when I select
one of the midlets I get the error:

C:\j2me\j2me_midp-2.0\example>midp -descriptor games.jad
Unable to create MIDlet example.wormgame.WormMain
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: example.wormgame.WormMain

If I start the midlet using the wireless toolkit everything works fine. I
have path variables to the MIDP and CLDC bin dirs, I have set the
MIDP_HOME correctly, I have a CLASSPATH pointing to the midlet I want to
run (not sure if that is necessary), I have tried all versions of
MIDP/CLDC, followed every step of the installation guide but nothing seems
to help. I know I am probably missing somehting obvious but I am pretty
desperate now, so I beg any of you experts to provide me with some
insight....
please..

thanks in advance,
Jens-Christian
