EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION - Help would be appreciated

We are experiencing the following on two PCs running WebLogic server
.... even though every other PC in the organisation has no such
problems running the same software.

Anyone who could shed any light on why this may be occuring - well
we'd be very pleased ;-)

The server runs up and then this error happens after about 5-10
minutes of use.

TIA

This just looks like a bug in the JVM. All you can do is save the dump
and send it to bea or sun, whomever's JVM it is.

The cron stuff may refer to some regularly scheduled event. This is
pretty off the wall, but is there any possibility you have something
triggered that wakes up and tries to talk to the JVM every once in a
while or talks to some of your JNI?

Here are a few wild guesses you might ponder:

- Actuate reports. Is the interface package from Actuate deemed compatible
with your JVM version?
- Actuate reports. Thread-safe implementation?
- Cron task: Is cron configured to lock out new entries while running a
task?
- JVM: Assuming a batch program is running under bea, should you incorporate
the '-server' JVM parm? This slightly changes jvm behavior.
- Actuate reports. 5-10 minutes of use. Depending on the operating system,
is it possible too many connections are created by the JVM? eg. Win2k
Professional limits to 10 network connections via hard-coded kernal, Win2K
Server has unlimited network connections (via tcp). Or, poor dereferencing
in your custom java program?
- C:\MAXIMO\addUser.dll in your loaded dll's list: Is this a JNI invocation
of this DLL? Thread-safe dll? DLL created with latest Visual Studio
service pack(s) and operating system service packs?

Since it is happening on specific machines, and other
machines with the same config are working fine, I would
guess it's a hardware problem. Bad board, bad memory
chip, something like that. Find someone that can do
a thorough hardware diagnostic test. Back-up the harddrive
and reformat it, re-install everything.
