37th Annual Simulation Symposium

April 18 - 22, 2004
Hyatt Regency Crystal City
Arlington, VA

Sponsored by:
The Society for Modeling and Simulation International
In cooperation with:
The IEEE Computer Society
ACM (Association for Computing Machinery)

The Annual Simulation Symposium is a forum for the exchange of ideas,
techniques, and applications among practitioners of simulation in industry,
government, and academia. This international Symposium is the oldest
continuously operating conference/symposium dedicated to simulation.
The paper sessions are designed to promote discussion of concepts, tools,
methodologies, and results between authors and the audience. The structure
of
the Symposium also provides for a degree of collegiality and continuity in
the discussions of the various topics presented during the week.
Original contribution in all areas of modeling and simulation are welcome.
This year's Symposium is particularly seeking papers in the following
topical areas:
o Object-Oriented Simulation
o Simulation Languages, Tools, and Environments
o VLSI Circuit Simulators
o Simulation of Multiprocessor Architectures
o Simulation of Distributed Systems and Databases
o Simulation of Parallel Processing Systems
o Simulation based Performance Analysis
o Network Modeling and Simulation
o Simulation of Sensor Networks
o Network Security
o Simulation of Wireless and Mobile Networking and Computing
o Simulation of Large Scale Systems
o Simulation of Clusters and Grids
o Simulation of Client-Server Systems
o Simulation of Wireless Systems
o Simulation of Real-time Systems
o Parallel and Distributed Simulation
o Simulation of Agent Systems
o Simulation based Software Performance
o Reliability and Maintenance Models
o Simulation of Multimedia Applications and Systems
o Artificial Intelligence in Simulation
o Neural Network Models and Simulation
o Web-based Modeling and Simulation
o Animations/Virtual Reality
o Advances in Simulation Methodology and Practices
o Experimental design
o Meta-modeling
o Statistical Analysis and Inference
o Verification and Validation
o Selection and comparison procedures
