2 phase commitment

Dear all,

When two systems are talking to each other by messaging mode (e.g. MQ),
is there any way, system level and/or application level, to maintain
transaction control (unit of work) across the two systems?

Thanks.

MQ provides transaction control for some stuff. What do you have in mind?

DB2/udb and DB2/400 too do have 2 phase commit feature. Only SNA (or anynet) connected up to V4R5 also IP connected since V5R1.
