Line Graph from DataBase

I have wrote a program that lets the user choose stock data types that
they wish to analyse. Their choices are then read in from a database.
I want to know how to then graph the data using a line graph. I need
each of the different stock data types to be plotted on the one graph.
If anyone could help me or point me in the right direction i'd be very
appreciative.
Thanks

Uh, is this a standalone application, such as a Swing app or AWT app,
an applet run in a browser, or a server side servlet or JSP?

Also, how "professional" do you want the results to be? If you want
really fancy, professional looking stuff, buy a commercial graphics
API. If you have no money, there are a couple of decent packages,
sans a few bells and whistles, at sourceforge.net. Look into JChart
and/or JFreeChart. If you want to simply plot the data yourself by
"brute force," create a java.awt.Component, override its update and
paint methods, casting the Graphics to a Graphics2D, and start doing
computations and drawing lines. Put your component into any
container, and presto --- instant graph. Well, not quite; you'll have
days of programming, in all likelihood.

Cheers!
