Web page parsing/reading issues

Hi,
I have a website say www.mydomain.com.There are many different files under this domain like a.cfm, b.php, c.html, d.gif etc.
Issue is that sometime (happens once in a while) when I try to access files like
www.mydomain.com/a.cfm or www.mydomain.com/b.php browser keeps on loading, this continues for long time somewhere between 1-5 hrs. I try to recycle its application pool. This sometime solves the issue but not always.

During this time when the website is down or under some issue if I try to access
www.mydomain.com/c.html or www.mydomain.com/d.gif it displays the content (works fine) in browser without any delay.

Not sure what the exact issue is (Looks like some issue in parsing php & cfm files) or what its solution is but it is really frustrating. Please let me know in case you have encountered such issue and you know solution to this.

PS: All other website that are there in this application pool(including php & cfm sites) runs fine during this breakdown.

Thanks,
Mayank
