web service in IIS problem

i have created the default web service "hello world"....in folder website5/service.asmx..now when i access the service from my localhost using
the web reference http://localhost:1046/website5/service.asmx it runs...but when i run it in my localhost using url http://192.168.1.160:1046/website5/service.asmx....where i have the used the ip add of the localhost instead of "localhost"....it gives me a error "the proxy setting on this macine are not configured for web discovery"....this is the same error from any comp from the client ......i have checked there is no proxy server in coll.....then why the error.....have i to configure iis for web sevices...or just putting the folder website5 which contains service.asmxin the wwwroot folder of iis is enough to host the service.....

i m in a college network..where v have no proxy server..alll the comps r connected to a switch ...and there exists on a main server with the admin....

thks..iprogrammer
