aspx pages not shown after ASP.NET registration in IIS

Hello, some users of the application I’m maintaining cannot run it on their PC after they have performed asp.net registration in IIS. It seems a problem in loading aspx pages.
IIS is 5.1, ASP.NET1.1.
They run the ‘aspnet_regiis –i’ command from proper folder, i.e. 'C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.1.4322’, and the mappings for aspx extensions were actually added.

The pages can be seen properly when opened from IIS manager by right clicking them and selecting ‘Browse’.
But Internet Explorer remains stuck and they are not loaded. Before registering asp.NET those pages, but not web controls, were loaded.

Thanks for any hint you may give me.

Just forgot to specify that each user needs the web server to run this application in standalone mode on their localhost, it is still a web application for legacy reason.

This is an unusual application, how do you know they are using the same versions. Do you get an error message? What do you mean register asp.net, run the exe?

Make sure your .Net framework is 2.0...had the same problem. ASP wasn't working since I was using 1. and I configured .net for 2.0 and it work.

Not solved yet...
Users have the correct version, I could check that. They are using .NET framework 1.1 as I do. I've not found yet any meaningful difference in environment,...

In Microsoft documentation, I found that the syntom I experience, "When you try to browse any .aspx page, Microsoft Internet Explorer stops responding" could be due to the presence of other applications. (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/910435)

but this was not my case

oops, I figured this one out a while ago, forgot about posting a thank you all. The .Net framework was out of date, my pc defaulted to 1.0, I had to get it to see 2.0.

Thanks everyone for your help.
