I have some intranet pages that ran fine on 2000 server. They use java applets bought from KavaChart several years ( and several versions) ago. Within the htm you define what sort of chart, and the location of the datafile (csv text file) The javaapplet reads the data and displays a graph on the webpage. Since the transfer to 2003 server, the graph does not display. All I get is KavaCharts default chart sample data, rather than the data from the datafile. (It does this if it cant read/locate a datafile) This is accessing the page in the form; http://co013/network/page.htm. If I use unc path \\co013\inetpub\wwwroot\network\page.htm the page displays the data as expected.
I understand there is a difference between IIS on 2000 and 2003, and suspect this is a configuration issue, but I am at a loss as to know what I have to change. I have tried to compare IIS settings between the two machines, but can't find anything. I have even tried running on another 2003 machine, in case the build was wrong.
Interestingly, I cannot even display the page if I log onto the webserver and try to open the page locally.
If I look at the java console, all I see is cannot stream logondata.dat.
Thank you
