How to configure IIS for domain web app

Guys, i have a asp.net ajax enabled web app ready for deployment via windows installer. It allows only windows domain users to connect to the web app. My question is will the web server that is going to host this application need a real IP address allocated for it? is there any way that this can be done using a server machine with a normal network IP assigned by DHCP. I tried assigning the static IP of my machine to the website in IIS via properties. But when i try to access the web app using E.g. http://192.168.200.116/webAppVirtualFolder in the address bar of the browser, i get a
"You are not authorized to view this page"
message. But when i type http://localhost/webapp it works fine (i'm using IIS in my local machine). So i'm guessing the browser searches for the real IP 192.168.200.116 rather than the local network IP 192.168.200.116 (my machine). Any ideas on how to overcome this will be greatly appriciated. Thanks in advance! Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeese help!

My understanding is that a network IP won't work, you need a domain/ip that is propagated through the internet.
