IIS default web site restore

I was having problem with asp file and local host. But dotnet files were working perfectly. So iremove IIS and then install IIS.After that i register ASP.dllfile and then install .NET Framework. Now i am able to open the local host as well as the ASP files also. But during this operation all the configured default web sites are lost. Is there any method by which i can able to restore those Default web sites or the Virtual directories under Default web site.

Thanks

Niraj

Welcome to the site. I don't believe that there is a way to do this. Does anyone else now a way?

To the best of my knowledge, there is no way to restore lost IIS website configuration settings.

IIS settings can be restored if a backup was made.

If not, there is still some chance that you can restore portions if not all of the IIS configuration.

Please read this link: <http://support.microsoft.com/kb/234429/EN-US/> and its related articles.
