I've just bought a new Windows Server 2003 and I am trying to move an exiting FrontPage website to this new machine. I can't get ASP pages to run. IIS 6.0 has been installed. From the snap-in, I have configured "Web Services Extensions" to allow CGI Extensions, ISAPI Extensions, Active Server Pages, FrontPage Server Extensions 2002, Internet Data Connector, Server Side Includes and WebDAV. All of this appears to be running fine.

Hello, I have an ASP.NET web application that generates a temporary image file on the server, streams it to the client, and then deletes the file. Everything works fine when running on Windows 2000 and XP, but the file does not get deleted when running on Windows Server 2003. For some reason the File.Delete call is not raising an exception and is not deleting the file either. The application is using anonymous authentication and has...

I have created a very simple vb.net web service. It works fine on my local machine and every other machine I have installed it on. For the life of me I cannot get it to work on my production machine. Development Machine: - MS .NET Framework 1.1 Ver. 1.1.4322 - Visual Studio 2003 (where the apps are created) - IIS 5.1 App was installed via a Visual Studio Web Setup Project with no errors.

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
