Your comments on this inline list?

I've been experimenting with putting lists of short items into an
inline style. Any comments would be welcome.

The inline list is the "Contents" line right after the header block.
The directly relevant styles are in a <style> block in the <head>
section; the general style sheet is at

http://oakroadsystems.com/screen.css

_Any_ comments: on the aesthetics, the implementation, whatever. (I
know I have too many layers of <div> right now; I'll address that.
But the table of contents is generated by a program, so while
experimenting it was easier just to wrap it in another <div>.)

Well, there's been resounding silence, but I suppose that's fair
because the ground has been awfully well trod.

One obvious problem is that MSIE 6 doesn't honor the :before in the
style sheet, so there's no bullet before the list items as sen by
MSIE users, the poor dears. I like a suggestion at alistapart to use
border for separators, and I'll look into that.
