Cause you've set Opera to black and white rendering?
Without a url it's impossible to guess.
Well, not impossible to guess of course, but impossible to guess
it right :-)

Yes, it's right. But this software isn't ready in english language.
Is prepared yet. So, You'll have to click here and click here and click here
and
then You'll see the effect. Of course I can send a link to my application
and will write step by step what to do to see the effect. So ?

And more... that wasn't <select>, but <option class="red" ...>.

I was changed <option class="red"..> to <option style="color:red"..>.
Still not working in Opera. It's strange. Maybe Opera not supporting this ?
I can't find any information at opera.com.

I don't think that's a problem for me. I don't understand
Polish, but I should be able to find what ever you are
explaining to me.

Might be that it's not supported, but then IE and Moz
shouldn't do it either.
Can't you make a small test document that shows the problem
and upload it?

IE and Mozilla allow color and background-color on option. Opera does not
AFAIK.

Well, there is a way to change to english, but everything
isn't translated yet. Let's do it.

So, go to http://demo.ikeris.com/wandalex/main/login.php

1. Login: admin, password: admin. It's public, because it is demo.
2. Go to "Umowy" splice. Below You see No of contract 2/07/2004.
Click it.
3. When You click on this contract You'll see some details info.
Click on "Czynnosci". Now for example click in "Grupa 1" on
small pen on right side. Then You'll go to edit mode.
Now You'll see some list of hardware which must me in red color,
but in Opera is in gray.

That is problem.

By the way, my english isn't so good, so please forgive me if I told
You something not clear. Then ask me again and I'll explain You :-)

I'm getting a page with 3 tables, but I can't find any
"Umowy", nor a contract number of 2/07/2004. :-(

Hang on, found it. It automatically gave me the English
version, which says "contracts". Changed it to Polish, and
there it is. "Umowy". :-)
2. Go to "Umowy" splice. Below You see No of

Yep, but I can't find anything wrong. I even tried to put
other styles in there, even within a span inside the option
element (might not be allowed, just tried it), but nothing.
I think Neal is right, and it's just that Opera doesn't
support it.
I looked in Opera 7.51 btw, so it's not just that you didn't
use the newest version.
By the way, my english isn't so good, so please forgive me

No need, it was all clear. Your English is fine :-)

So, there isn't any way to solve it. It's a pity :-(

I think you better ask that in alt.html.critique (but they'll
look at your code too!) or in
comp.infosystems.www.authoring.site-design.

Bad idea. The whole idea of CSS is to keep the presentation out of the
content. If you're going to call a class "red", then you're going to
have tags in your HTML with

class="red"

which means you're specifying the color in the HTML. Then, if you
decide you want to change the color, you'll have to change the CSS to

.red { color: #009; }

which will look silly, and then you'll change

class="red"

to

class = "blue"

everywhere in your HTML document.

You ought to name the class according to its *function*, whether it's
"errortext" or "warning" or "molecular-formula" or "ingredient-list"
or whatever.

and using with <select class="red"....>
