I have been working on a CSS page for a few days now. I have been
working on a layout, which can be seen at
http://jtarchie.spacecows.net/greenwood . The CSS is in the HTML
document. My problem is that opacity on my center text box is having
weird errors in multiple browsers. I am trying to have it so the
scroll bar and the text do not dispear with the white background. I
have set different div tags with different opacities, but it only
works in one browser - Netscape 7 and Internet Explorer. In FireFox
0.9.1 the scroll bar and text disapear with the white background. I am
aware the opacity is inherited by the children, but if you specify a
different opacity for the children shouldn't they except that? I am
currently using all properties of opacity for Moz, IE, and Safari -
could that be a problem?
One more thing is that the nav bar that I have created for this page
appears in the correct position in all Moz based browsers, but is
incorrect in all others - ie Internet Explorer. I have messed with
settings of top, etc... to no avail.
Thanks in advance for any insight you might be able to give this
problem. I have actually considered redoing this layout in
Dreamweaver... maybe it will yield better results for the CSS than
just hardcoding it in my favorite text editor.
Peace, Love, and CSS.
