<div> height problem w/ mozilla/safari/netscape

Folks,

I'm relatively new to design all-css sites and have hit upon a snag.
I'm sure it's something simple, but I haven't wrapped my mind around i
yet.

Here's the thing:

My css file contains definitions for two divs that are meant to liv
side-by-side in the page layout. Both are floated left. Both have th
same height, position from top and appropriate positions from the left
Just to be sure, I ran my code through the W3C validator -- not tha
it was needed, because it's very simple.

Anyway, the height attribute of the RIGHT div gets completely mangle
in netscape/mozilla/safari. It's perfect in IE. Also, the absolut
positioning is off in those browsers.

Here is the css: http://www.milnorpictures.com/newsite/milnor2.css
And the page in question:

Ideas? I'm at a total loss
