infuriating problem with form not fitting to 1 line!

R
hi all
can someone explain why when i put a form in a layer, i cannot make that
layer one line high - it insists on being two lines minimum. say i have a
thin line 19pixels high, it just keeps jumping to 27pixels high in the
following code and i cant change it...
any ideas?
thanks
R
<div id="menubar" style="position:absolute; width:574px; height:19px;
z-index:50; left: 176px; top: 95px; layer-background-color: #ffffff; border:
0px none #000000; background-color: #000000; visibility: visible;">
<form name="menu" method="post" action="">
<a href="../uk/" class="menubartext">link here</a> <a href="../uk/2/"
class="menubartext">another</a> <a href="../uk/3/" class="menubartext">and
again</a> <a href="../4/" class="menubartext">one more</a>
<input name="textfield" type="text" class="searchstyle"
value="search">
</form>
</div>

Change your form line to this:
<form name="menu" method="post" action="" style="display:inline;">

Your CSS would be better external.

Don't cross post.
