CSS Navigation

Liebe NG,

trotz Google und anderen Suchmaschinen bin ich nicht fündig geworden,
also bitte ich euch um eure Hilfe.
Ich hätte gern einen Hinweis (link oder Tutorial), wie ich mittels CSS
(oder Java) ein ansprechendes horizontales Natigationsmenü erstellen
kann.

Am liebsten wäre mir ein vertikal aufklappendes Untermenü, aber ich
vermute, dass ein solches nur über ein Java Skript zu verwirklichen ist.
Die Programme, die ich dazu bislang gefunden habe, sind umständliche
Trialversionen, und die haben mir leider nicht weiter geholfen.

Habt ihr vielleicht ein paar Tipps für mich?

I haven't yet got around to fiddling with drop-down menus, but I suspect
that you are right about needing Javascript, at least with Internet
Explorer. For pure CSS that also works in IE, this might help:
