I have a page layout with a couple of absolute divs. It looks great on
Moz. On IE, the second div doesn't center as it does in Moz.
When I change the second div to relative, it works in IE, but in Moz,
it won't vertically offset the way it does in IE, so it sits over the
first absolute div.
When I write only the second div on a blank page, it does exactly what
I want it to in both browsers.
Could someone please have a look at these examples and tell me what
I'm doing wrong? (Please excuse the Geocities advertising - it has no
effect on my content as I tested everything offline first.)
This is where I want the second div to show up and the way I want it
aligned on the page. It works in both browsers.
Second div, by itself on a blank page, using
{
text-align: center;
position: relative;
top: 95%;
left: -10%;
right: -10%;
width: 120%;
}

It works (good enough) in IE6, not in Moz 1.4, using
{
text-align: center;
position: relative;
top: 95%;
left: -10%;
right: -10%;
width: 120%;
}

It works perfectly in Moz, but not in IE, using
{
text-align: center;
position: absolute;
top: 95%;
left: 0px;
right: 0px;
width: 99%;
}

Thanks!
