IE text selection - what combination causes it?

Hi
I've been doing a site in css recently, and have come across the problem of
IE not allowing text to be selected. The problem is, sometimes it does
allow it, and sometimes it doesn't, and i'm not really clear on what causes
it and what doesn't. I know its some combination of absolute and relative
positioned stuff, possibly related to float and clear too, but can't pin
down the exact combination that causes the problem - it certainly isn't all
of them! The site was working fine, with text being fully selectable, but
as I was playing about changing things to make sure the site worked in all
(most) browsers properly I discovered that somewhere along the line i'd lost
the ability to select text.
The pages in question are here:
http://www.sunion.warwick.ac.uk/subaqua/

Currently, I can select text in all but the main text box in the middle,
which is the most important one.
If there is a description somewhere of what combination causes the bug a
link would be much appreciated, but so far everything i've seen about it
give general descriptions of problems with absolute and relative
positioning - nothing that leads me to the solution.

Thanks

David

Its OK - i've got it now. It was because I had the main section with a
negative z-value as far as i can tell - it all seems better (although you
won't be able to see the change yet on that page)
