Which is the best site/tools for announcing/promoting web pages ?

P: n/a
I would like to announce a few non commercial web pages. Currently I have found a couple of tools to
promote these pages:

- AddUrl
- Hello Engines!
- Submitta
- Metaner
- WebPosGold

Furthermore there seem to be some more online registration services.

Hmmm, which one is the best? Does someone have some experiences ?

Don't use these services. Some SE's don't like them, some are spamtraps.

Just submit the homepage manually to the few search engines that really
matter (Google, Yahoo, ...?).

Don't bother - get links from sites that are already listed and the spiders
will find you.

The greatest tool to promote them is <a href...>. In other words, link
to your pages from other pages already being indexed by Google (and
indexed frequently, and given a high pagerank). Forget about other
add-url services (unless, as usual, you know exactly what you're doing).

Don't bother - get links from sites that are indexed - the spiders will
follow.

As far as Google is concerned, links from higher PR pages will boost your
page's PR and the inbound link (IBL) text is weighted to boost your position
in the results pages (SERPs) so make sure your search terms are in the IBL
