Verdana doesn't get rendered automatically and Arial does?

P: n/a
Hello,
I'm using the following style and am having a problem that Arial get's
rendered with fuzzy edges in the browser IE6:
..headline {
font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; font-size:16px;
font-weight:bold; color:#007550; line-height:16px;
}
If I use the same style, but with Verdana, the script has sharp edges.
..headline {
font-family:Verdana,Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif; font-size:16px;
font-weight:bold; color:#007550; line-height:16px;
}
Thanks for any tips.
Cheers, Anand Patel

This isn't an HTML issue, it's a browser / OS issue. Go ask Microsoft.

You have "text smoothing" turned on. You can change that in the desktop
properties notebook.
Verdana was designed for the low resolution typical of display
monitors. Arial is just M$' answer to Helvetica.
